Academics
Personalized Faith-Based Education For all Learning Levels
Preschool
Our youngest learners begin by engaging in a creative program suitable for preschool children the uses a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children. We provide personalized education for each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
Kindergarten
In kindergarten, a love for reading, math, and learning takes off. We teach socially acceptable behavior in a way young children can comprehend through sharing activities, learning to take turns, and respecting the privacy and belonging of others.
Primary: Grades 1-3
Our curriculum offers in depth experiences as our teachers and aids assist students to cultivate positive academic skills. We continue to build on the love of learning with fun and engaging activities.
Intermediate: Grades 4-5
In grades 4 and 5, our students learn to develop the skills needed to be independent learners and how to work together to be great problem solvers.
Junior High: Grades 6-8
The academic and social opportunity of Junior High readies students for their progression to high school. Working with local Diocesan high schools to develop our junior high curriculum and essential skills, our students leave St. Joseph School with experience in navigating their journey for high school success.
Academic Support
Every student is unique. Our academic support specialist provides support to our students, from core-instruction support and organizational skills to homework help, and works individually, in small groups, and in classrooms to ensure all students are working in their least-restrictive environment.
Enrichment
Our enrichment specialists work to ensure all students are supported and challenged to improve, no matter where they start. Our enrichment staff includes math specialists, reading specialists, academic support, computer & technology, physical education, language specialists, art, library, and counseling — all integral parts of our school system.
