Make Friends
You will enjoy time with your friends in Math and Language Arts, all your
classes, even in after school activities like SLIM E, computer club, Band,
quilting club, chess club, basketball and volleyball. Make friends that last a
lifetime,in our Kindergarten environment you will grow up together. St.
Joseph School is a great place to be.

Become a Star
You can sing each week in our school choir; perform in our annual Christmas
play, reenactment of the Stations of the Cross, Grandparents’ Day
celebration or in our famous spring drama production!
Field trips, Art Appreciation classes, fine arts performances combined with
school music and band programs expose St. Joe students to a variety of fine
arts experiences.

Get Caught Up
You will get caught up in your learning in a friendly place. You can shine in
our annual spelling bee, diocesan academic com petition, the Why I Love
America contest and other student com petitions. You can participate in our
Veteran’s Day celebration or as a city community leader in the city council
meeting. You can Read! Read! Read! In our 16,000 book Library and get
recognized for your reading at the Walk of Fame.

Experience Leadership
You can join our active student council, be a buddy to a younger student or
lead prayer for our school community. M any students organize and involve
the entire school and parish com m unity in service projects that benefit the
needy in our community, our country and the world.

Did you know that St. Joseph School w as recognized as a national blue
ribbon school by the US department of education? Did you know that all S t.
Joseph teachers are certified in the area that they teach and m any have
won awards including the National Catholic Educational Association’s teacher
of the Year, the Diocese of Covington’s teacher of the year, the Diocese of
Covington’s catechist of the year, the Outstanding Middle School Math teacher and
the Great American teacher of the year. It is a great group of teachers

Dame taught at St. Joseph School, and we still continue to offer a well-rounded
foundation in catholic doctrine, values and traditions. You will

Become Involved
Parents, you can remain involved in your child’s education through a host of
opportunities; A rt Appreciation, cafeteria volunteer (especially on your
child’s birthday) recess helper, PTO , room mothers, walk-a-thon volunteer,
helping hands, print station volunteers, celebrity readers, science
enrichment helpers, dram a club and helping to plan m any activities like
Breakfast with Santa and Bids and Bites.

Tinker with Technology
Become techno-savvy with access to multi media technology in the computer
lab or in our classrooms that have at least two Internet connected
computers. You will have access to the interactive white boards and
numerous software programs that support learning in all subject areas. St.
Joseph teachers use the Internet to actively engage the students with their
learning, to maintain teacher websites and to communicate with parents. Be
a part of our CAVS team that produce a bi-weekly newscasts and shows
viewed school-wide through closed-circuit and community wide through the
local cable television access.
